More migrants arrive on Greek islands in past 48 hours

A total of 84 migrants and refugees have arrived on Greece’s Aegean islands in the past 48 hours, authorities said Monday.
Authorities said that 9,308 are currently sheltered on the islands of Lesvos, Chios and Samos.
Local and port authorities are demanding immediate government action to decongest overcrowded migrant facilities, insisting that they cannot cope with the recent surge in arrivals from neighbouring Turkey.
