Facebook blackmailer arrested
The Greek Police’s cyber crime unit arrested a 23-year-old woman on Thursday after she allegedly blackmailed a 21-year-old man over the Facebook social media site.
The investigation began after the victim filed a complaint saying that the woman – a Polish national – informed him via Facebook that unless he paid her 10,000 euros she would post personal photos of him online.
Cyber crime experts traced the suspect to her home in the Peloponnese, in southern Greece, where they detained her. A case file against her been submitted to a local prosecutor.
