Suspect arrested over contraband smokes
A foreign national was arrested Tuesday in Omonia Square, central Athens, for the possession and distribution of contraband cigarettes and tobacco.
A police raid of his home yielded 3,120 cigarette packets and 85 sachets of tobacco.
The suspect, a 27-year-old Afghan national, appeared before a prosecutor later in the day.
