HEALTH AND SOCIAL SOLIDARITY
Nikitas Kaklamanis. He has no experience of government, but his political career with New Democracy, which began in 1990, was interrupted by a period with the breakaway Political Spring (POLA) party, which he served as Euro MP in 1994. After his return to ND, he became shadow health minister, which led to his current appointment. He received a PhD from Athens Medical School in 1981.
