Thessaloniki man gets life in prison for murdering wife
An 84-year-old man was convicted to life in prison Monday by a Thessaloniki court for the murder of his 71-year-old wife last June. According to the case file, the man strangled his wife after an argument in their home in the district of Harilaou in the northern port city of Thessaloniki.
The man told the court he regretted the incident which occurred when his wife told him she would leave him.
