PASOK leader Fofi Gennimata has offered her condolences to the family of former conservative prime minister Constantine Mitsotakis.
“Mitsotakis was an important and strong personality who left his mark on the country’s postwar political life,” Gennimata said in a statement.
“He remained active until the very end, and faithful to his opinions about his party and the country,” she said.
Mitsotakis died in the early hours of Monday, at the age of 98. Mitsotakis, whose political career spanned more than half a century, was prime minister of Greece from 1990 to 1993.
