Turkish jets enter Greek air space, fly over Kalogiri islets

Four Turkish fighter jets Wednesday violated Greek air space in the eastern and northern Aegean, the latest in a string of transgressions in the region.

Four Turkish F-16s entered the Athens Flight Information Region at 11.40 a.m. in the air space between Lemnos and Lesvos before flying over the Kalogiri islets at an altitude of 29,000 feet.

The formation of jets then broke into two pairs which exited Greek air space at 12.13 and 12.16 p.m. respectively.
