A reconstruction…

A reconstruction of the ancient Kyrenia ship, a fourth-century BC trader found off the coast of northern Cyprus in 1967, sails into the port of Piraeus yesterday afternoon after a four-week journey from the Cypriot port of Amathounta. The Kyrenia-Eleftheria was carrying a shipment of Cypriot copper, from which medals are to be struck for the August 13-29 Olympics. In antiquity, Cyprus was a major exporter of copper.
