The Olympic Flame returned to Greece…

The Olympic Flame returned to Greece yesterday after a global relay of over 78,000 kilometers (47,000 miles), through 26 countries on five continents. It left Athens on June 2 and returned to a traditional welcome at Iraklion, Crete, aboard a plane named Zeus – after the father of the Olympian gods who, legend has it, grew up on the island. Some 7,000 runners will carry it through 29 Greek towns before the Games begin.
