Man with multiple fraud convictions nabbed in Nea Smyrni
A 54-year-old man who has several convictions pending against him for fraud and forgery faced a prosecutor on Thursday following his arrest in the Athenian suburb of Nea Smyrni on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers nabbed the man after determining that an arrest warrant for multiple counts of fraud and forgery was pending against him.
The 54-year-old, who reportedly belongs to a family involved in the shipping sector, has accrued a total of 33 years in prison for series of fraud and forgery convictions.
