Yesterday’s storms…

Waves lash the northern Peloponnesian coast close to the Rio-Antirrio bridge during yesterday’s storms, while motorists in the vicinity of Domokos in central Greece were faced with blizzards. In some areas north of Lamia, the snow lay up to a meter deep. Heavy snowfall led to some 20 villages being cut off in the Peloponnese, while in Attica yesterday, the road leading over Mt Pendeli to Nea Makri was shut off to traffic. Evia was also badly affected by snowfall, with two villages cut off.
