The British actresses all signed a petition at the outset of a new campaign to have the Parthenon Marbles returned to Greece before the Olympics in Athens in 2004. In October the Environment, Town Planning and Public Works Ministry signed an agreement with the Athens 2004 organizing committee according to which 4,000 Athenian acres will be planted with about 100 million plants before the Games, at a cost of 124 billion drachmas (364 million euros).
