In the face of state’s inaction, future is in hands of the people
The poet T.S. Eliot once said that just because a problem needs time and work to solve it, perhaps over several generations, that is no excuse to postpone it. Great minds are not the only ones to doubt the power of action. Thousands of ordinary people are waging battles on a daily basis and using time not as an excuse but as a tool. Among them are those fighting to better our environment and quality of life in the face of the prevailing tendency to give these issues low priority. The representatives of four environmental organizations spoke to Kathimerini about their view of the year ahead.
