A sampling of icons…
A sampling of icons currently on show at the Thessaloniki Museum of Byzantine Culture. The exhibition, which opened yesterday, will give art lovers the opportunity to view 88 icons from Orthodox communities in central and southern Albania. It is the first time such an exhibition has taken place in Greece. The northern Greek museum adopted the icons from a peer institution in Korce, Albania, and has been working on their restoration over the last five years. (Page 3)
