Sch.gr, a nationwide school network
The Ministry for Education and Religion has one of the most successful Greek networks in the public sector, linking 13,162 schools, 2,466 administrative units and 53,727 teachers. Sch.gr gives the school community access to educational material and distance learning, an exchange of information and points of view, online seminars and digital libraries. The Panhellenic School Network comprises 2,812 kindergartens (49 percent of the total), 5,873 primary schools (98 percent of the total), all 1,917 junior highs and all 1,148 senior highs. However, only 11 percent of the schools provide the service to pupils at home.
