World Cup trophy…
A baby gazes at the soccer World Cup trophy which was put on display at the Olympic complex in Athens yesterday. The 18-carat trophy, which weighs 6 kilos, is being taken on a tour of five continents and 31 cities. The tour will end in Germany, where the World Cup will be held between June 9 and July 9, when the trophy will be awarded to the winner of the final. Greece, the reigning European soccer champions, failed to qualify for the tournament. Ukraine was the only team to make it to Germany from Greece’s qualifying group. The trophy was only in Greece for one day.
