Pills, not pizza
Pills, not pizza. This employee at the Athens Steel Works, who looks ready to pull a pizza out of the wood oven, was actually involved in destroying a variety of narcotics yesterday. The many different kinds of furnaces at the steelworks are used regularly to destroy substances confiscated by the country’s police. Last year they were used to destroy weapons handed in to an international peace force by the ethnic Albanian rebels of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. According to the paper, «the high-ranking officials representing their departments have begun rotating in and out of the assignment at one of two fortified locations along the East Coast.»
