A street seller plies his trade, his wares laid out on a wooden display board, in central Athens yesterday. The capital’s street traders, many of whom come from Asia and Africa, have been pressing authorities to provide them with licenses. Last July they protested a law allowing only EU citizens to sell their wares at markets in Greece.
