Panathinaikos narrowed the gap separating it from front runner Olympiakos in the Super League to two points with a 1-0 home victory over its archrival in Athens last night. The home side went ahead with an own goal in the 48th minute when Olympiakos defender Thanassis Kostoulas headed in a cross delivered by Spanish midfielder Victor, who was sent off in the game’s final minute.
