A child sings during last night’s ceremony in Syntagma Square, central Athens, held to mark the lighting of the capital’s Christmas tree by Athens Mayor Theodoros Behrakis. The square will also be home during this festive season to Santa’s Neighborhood, fairy-tale characters, sweet stands and a 120-year-old carousel.
