Greek Orthodox nuns at the Easter ceremony conducted by Patriarch Irenaios in Jerusalem on Sunday. On Saturday, Irenaios lit the holy flame in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher as Orthodox Christians prepared to celebrate the Resurrection. In a special message marking the Orthodox Easter, Clerides welcomed the council’s statement, which also said a settlement must be based on Security Council resolutions.
