Archbishop Demetrios, the head of the Greek Orthodox Church in the USA, exchanges gifts with Deputy Foreign Minister Yiannis Valinakis in Manhattan yesterday. Valinakis is in New York to represent the government at events being held by the Greek-American community to mark the 61st anniversary of the unification of the Dodecanese islands with Greece.
