Rain and Saharan dust cause problems
A car makes its way along a flooded road in Thessa-loniki yesterday. A heavy downpour in the northern city caused numerous problems for motorists but did not result in any serious damage. There was a sudden rainstorm in Athens too but the capital was mostly troubled by dust that had been blown toward Greece from the Sahara Desert by strong southerly winds. It is common for the dust to appear in Greece in March and April.
