More shots outside Alter TV make news
Shots were fired outside the Alter TV station on Saturday, prompting speculation that the media outlet had become a terrorist target for the second time in just a few weeks, although police indicated that the shooting may have been linked to a personal feud. Officers said that nine bullets were fired at 11.20 a.m. from the same gun at three different points along the road in Peristeri, western Athens, where Alter is located. The fact that the bullets were scattered over a stretch of 500 meters and that witnesses saw two suspect cars on the road suggested to officers that the shots may have been fired during a chase between two vehicles. Nevertheless, the government and opposition parties condemned the alleged attack on the TV station, which was also the target of an armed raid in February, claimed by the Sect of Revolutionaries urban guerrilla group.
