Air Marshal Ioannis Yiagos was named yesterday as the head of the National Defense General Staff (GEETHA), replacing Lieutenant General Dimitris Grapsas, who has served in the post since August 2007. Yiagos was appointed head of the Air Force General Staff (GEA) in January 2007.
