Kavala Airport in northern Greece was deserted yesterday as air traffic controllers in Greece, France, Portugal, Italy and Hungary observed work stoppages in protest at a plan to unify Europe’s disjointed skies. At Athens airport, 90 of a total of 450 daily flights were canceled.
