Olympiakos and Panathinaikos fans…

Several parked cars and shops were damaged in Patra yesterday when Olympiakos and Panathinaikos fans clashed before a volleyball match in the port city. Dozens of Olympiakos fans who were about to watch their team play against local side EA Patras attacked a Panathinaikos supporters’ club in the city ‘s Trion Navarchon pedestrian street shortly before 4 p.m. Several petrol bombs were thrown during the clashes and riot police were called in to restore order. They used tear gas to disperse the fighting fans who ran off into side streets. There were no reports of any injuries or arrests.
