Young and old get into the festive spirit at Zappeio Hall
Children, and some parents, enjoy a ride at a fun fair set up outside Zappeio Hall in central Athens yesterday. The fair, which also comprises a carousel and stalls with snacks, clowns, musicians and performers on stilts, brought a joyful hiatus to a string of public strikes and protests. Festive attractions have been set up at other squares across the capital with ice skating at Kotzia and Shetland pony rides at Syntagma.
