PM has two options on the table

Now that the crucial EU summit is behind us, the government needs to turn its focus back to doing its job here and get Greece back on track toward quashing tax evasion, increasing revenues, imposing reforms like liberalization and promoting measures to make up for the revenue shortfall.

It is obvious that the prime minister cannot achieve a consensus in his cabinet and the result is that the state mechanism has come to halt. But, time is running out fast and George Papandreou needs to decide whether or not he can form a small and determined government that will work toward the same single goal. If he feels that the problems that lie ahead are beyond his and his party?s powers, the only honest solution is either a broader government with the participation of non-parliamentary elements or general elections.
