Halting the free fall

The spread of lawlessness across the whole of Greek society is of great concern and it threatens to tilt the nation onto a self-destructive path.

Everyone is doing their bit: News organizations indulge in shameless populism; Socialist government officials trade accusations and play silly games at a time when the debt-wracked country is going down the tubes; leftist politicians dream of climbing to power through popular uprising; trade union members threaten to abolish the state; the main opposition party, conservative New Democracy, collaborates with extremist elements and media that it is not traditionally allied with; prosecutors refuse to enforce the law when it clashes with vested interests.

All the over shows a country that is ready to jump off the ledge.

Everyone must live up to the circumstances to the best of their abilities; otherwise we will all soon realize that this is an ungovernable country in free fall.
