Chaos and the center-left

The country needs a serious, broad center-left party with a clear pro-European stance and up-to-date ideas about the economy and the role of the state.

The crisis demolished socialist PASOK, while Democratic Left was unable to take over the role of providing a mouthpiece for the center-left due to its leadership’s contradictions and policy changes.

Now the center-left’s crisis is threatening the country’s political stability at a time when Greece’s economy is showing signs of recovery and what is required, above all, is a sense of normality.

The reconstruction of the center-left after the European Parliament elections will not be easy and is bound to leave the local political scene, including the government, largely affected.

On the other hand, the top priority right now is the country and for it to avoid the kind of chaos that would lead to doubts regarding all that the Greek people have achieved through major sacrifices.
