It’s time to set the record straight. SYRIZA is carrying on the tradition of irresponsibility that has defined all main opposition parties over the last few years. The party is calling for early elections with promises of tearing up the memorandums and erasing a big portion of the country’s debt. The government has fallen into the same trap, pledging that the country will be able to manage on its own next year.
Meanwhile, those who are supposedly lending us the money have decided they do not trust the country without some kind of preventive control and support, especially because they don’t know who will be in power in a few months and what their intentions are.
Though it’s tough, unfair and possibly inhuman, we still depend on them, unfortunately. So, ladies and gentlemen of the opposition and the government, wake up before the country falls off the cliff, before it even reaches the ballot boxes. Don’t sacrifice the economy in the name of tough partisan games.
