Irresponsible tactics

Fanaticism is a very dangerous condition and unfortunately it seems that, as the country moves toward election day, reason and moderation are in increasingly short supply.

Greece’s leftist opposition, Alexis Tsipras’s SYRIZA, is engaged in futile shadow-boxing with imaginary foes. It fails to realize that the party’s deep-rooted contradictions as well as its threats directed at the eurozone and the nation’s international lenders have fueled a climate of uncertainty at home and abroad.

The opposition is making a big mistake in prettifying the situation that any Greek government will have to deal with after elections on Sunday.

Any wise-minded person would condemn any attempt to create an artificial crisis because no one has the right to put the country’s stability at risk. Seeking to disguise the truth must be condemned in equal measure.
