Storm warning

As everyone in Greece has their attention focused on the cabinet reshuffle that was announced last night, not to mention the whole broadcasting license affair, our region is sinking deeper and deeper into uncertainty and chaos with every passing day.

We should be paying closer attention to what is going on in Turkey, where the decisions made over the past few months by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and especially since the failed coup in July, have put the country firmly on the path toward a serious political crisis. Domestic developments in the neighboring country inevitably have an effect on Greece, and this is something we need to remember, especially now.

There is no doubt that the day when Athens will have to make some important decisions is just around corner, so the government needs to sit down with the opposition and discuss the formation of a national strategy, because the situation is extremely serious.
