Security slipping

There appears to be an almost lackadaisical approach to security in Greece and, needless to say, this has cost the country. Just yesterday, we witnessed an attack on the embassy of one of the country’s closest friends and allies in what should be the safest part of the Greek capital.

A couple of months ago, another embassy came under attack near the main square of the upscale neighborhood of Kolonaki. The attack was not even noticed for a few days and, of course, no one was brought to justice.

It is not just that Greece is projecting an extremely poor image; the problem is also that if this relaxed approach to security continues, we may see much worse in the future.
