Call for a crackdown
A long with road improvement and driver education, I would emphasize traffic control by strict policing. Until drivers realize they cannot get away with speeding, reckless driving, illegal parking and complete disregard for the pedestrian crossings, pedestrians and the disabled without being severely penalized, nothing will change. Traffic laws are not enforced in Greece. Hire people to do it and see how many lives are saved. JAMES CREIGHTON, Athens.
