‘MAGIC CITY’ and ‘STELLA’: According to recent statistics of December 12 from the Greek Cinema Press Agency on 24 Greek films, four have been screened, one is now being shown, seven are about to be screened and 12 are still in production. Those that have already been shown are «Open Sea,» «Women without Men,» «Street of Acacias» and «Halima.» Still being screened is «Happy Beginning.» Ready for release are: «Magic City,» «Mademoiselle Aged 39,» «Carnival of a Life,» «Terrible Joe,» «Red Roses,» «We’re on a Good Thing» and «Counterfeit Sovereign.» Finally, the following 12 films are still being filmed: «Stella,» «Golfo,» «Stadium Aces,» «Little Shoot,» «Mother’s Sacrifice,» «Before Dawn,» «Three Babies,» «Slide into Ruin,» «Duchess de Plaisance,» «Roads of Destiny,» «Troubadours» and «The Policeman.» VOLOS WORKERS: The general assembly of the union of textile workers of Volos yesterday submitted to the government, Parliament, political party leaders and the General Confederation of Greek Labor a protest resolution after two years of unemployment. Their hopes that Volos’s industries would reopen were dashed after the closure of the last textile factory in the town, also the largest, that of Papageorgiou.
