PAPANDREOU AGAINST PAPAGOU: The leaders and representatives of the parliamentary parties and political groups, with the exception of the leader of the Progressives, Mr Spyros Makezinis, replied yesterday to statements by the prime minister, Field Marshal Alexandros Papagos, printed in Kathimerini last Sunday (February 13). The leader of the Liberals, Mr George Papandreou (…), replying to the field marshal, said that «only those of bad faith and the enemies of the nation question the magnitude of the government’s achievements in the sector of reconstruction.» He said that «the enemies of the nation are above all the prime minister and his deputies (Panayiotis Kanellopoulos and Stefanos Stefanopoulos). For they themselves, carried away by the force of their hatred for the former coordination minister (Spyros Markezinis), have said in Parliament that he contributed nothing to the reconstruction process.» TSALDARIS AGAINST PAPAGOS: The leader of the People’s Party, Mr Constantine Tsaldaris, (…) has expressed the view that the Greek people could not believe in proclamations of future prosperity, given the continuing decrease in their finances.
