Opening supervised tracks could avert illegal road races

Re: Feature published on February 19 regarding illegal car and motorcycle races along coastal Vouliagmenis Avenue and the Varibobi exit on the Athens-Lamia highway. Does Greece have any supervised racetracks? Maybe someone should open a racetrack. Here in the States there are a number of racetracks for amateurs to take their vehicles and race them on a closed track for a small fee. You get a classroom and professional driver instruction for a day. You must have insurance, your vehicle and tires must be sound and you must bring a helmet. Maybe that would get them off the streets. TASSO LAMBOS,Canton, Ohio.
