NIKOS ZACHARIADIS: The secretary-general of the Communist Party of Greece, Nikos Zachariadis, speaking on the bandits’ radio station, made the following statement yesterday. «Greek men and women, patriots and democrats. Two days away from the elections, we can now reflect for the last time before going to the ballot box, and finally decide who to vote for (…). Put a black mark against Papagos (…). Plastiras is the Judas of democracy. That is why no patriot or democrat accepts him and knows that in the elections a battle must be waged in order to send to Parliament at least 30-40 truly democratic deputies who are worth more than 100 of the others (from the Plastiras-Venizelos-Papagos camps) (…).» NATIONAL SYSTEM: New York, 14 (From our correspondent A. Antonakakis) The Royal Theater Company of Greece arrived this afternoon in new York by air (…). Tomorrow it begins rehearsals at the Mark Helliger Theater, where it will give performances of «Oedipus» and Electra» (…). Mr Dimitris Mitropoulos, who was originally to conduct the orchestra for these performances, is unlikely to conduct even one performance, because of the terms of his contract with the New York Symphony Orchestra. BOYS’ HIGH SCHOOL: Pupils at the Athens Second Junior High School for Boys, headed by the headmaster Mr Panayiotis Patras and teachers, yesterday visited the Shell petroleum company’s installations at Perama and Drapetsona.
