Five days of Athens Pride

From May 31 to June 4, the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual (LGBT) community of the Greek capital will be celebrating Athens Pride, which culminates in a parade on the final day at central Klafthmonos Square.

A series of events have been organized to raise awareness among the general public and to lobby for equal rights under the law, starting on Tuesday, May 31, with a performance at 5 p.m. in front of the University of Athens on Panepistimiou Street titled ?20 People and a Lesbian: A Public Opera,? written, directed and performed by Chrysa Tzabazi.

Later, at 7.30 p.m., the Goethe Institute (31 Omirou, Kolonaki) will be hosting a discussion on ?Private
