French Socialists set up Athens ballot box

France?s Socialist Party and Party of the Radical Left announced that ballot boxes for the election of representatives to run in the French presidential elections in May 2012, in two rounds of voting, on Sunday, October 10 and Sunday, October 23.

The ballot boxes will be set up at the Lexi-Logos school (6th floor, 3 Kapnikareas, Monastiraki), while the election will be monitored by a special committee comprising members of the local French community.

The votes will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days.

Voters need to come with a valid French identification document (identity card or passport), proof that they are registered on the voters? list at the French Consulate in Athens and a document saying that they are committed to the traditional values of the left. They will also have to pay 1 euro in support of the election drive.
