Arcturos workshops for children
Arcturos, the Florina-based environmental group that specializes in the protection of Greece?s bear and wolf populations, will be launching a brand-new workshop series for children aged 4-12 at its education center at the Nikeio School of Nymfaio.
Running from December 23 to January 8 the series introduces children to the wildlife of Greece?s northern mountains, explains the threats to their survival, and teaches them to identify endemic flora and fauna, as well as how to read different animal tracks.
The series also includes educational walks in the Nymfaio forest, where all of this education will be put to the test, along with arts and crafts workshops.
Each workshop in the series runs for 50 minutes.
