Acropolis Rally in WRC calendar for 2012, too
World car racing’s ruling body the FIA confirmed on April 15 that the Acropolis rally will be in the calendar of the World Rally Championship for one more year, in 2012.
The Greek rally returned to the calendar this year and is set to take place on June 16-19.
Now the FIA has ensured that it will form part of next year’s calendar as well, which vindicates the great effort made by the Greek rally organizers and serves to add to the prestige of this year’s race, too.
The 58th version of the Greek race, arguably one of the toughest in each year’s calendar, will be based again in Loutraki, near Corinth, just opposite the Peloponnesian coast.
