Panionios loses to leave the Reds alone on top

Panionios suffered its second defeat of the season on December 10, allowing Olympiakos to go alone on top of the basketball league table a day later.

Olympiakos dismissed KAO Dramas 83-61 despite a poor start to the game that saw the Reds trail 23-12 at the Peace and Friendship Stadium.

Panionios lost 77-67 at AGO Rethymnou, showing how unpredictable the Greek league has become these days.

Champion Panathinaikos scored an emphatic 77-60 at PAOK, just three days after thrashing Zalgiris Kaunas by 35 points in Lithuania for the Euroleague. The Greens are clearly improving and are now looking forward to their top-of-the-group clash with CSKA Moscow on December 14.

Just like Panathinaikos, Kolossos Rhodes is on six wins in seven games, after seeing off host Ilisiakos at Zografou with a 76-70 score.

Aris grabbed its second win for the season, beating Kavala 68-60 away, while Peristeri downed winless Maroussi 67-55.
