Olympiakos, the near-certain Greek champion, will parade most of its stars in Australia this May as the Reds go Down Under to face Melbourne Victory.
According to Australian reports, the friendly with Victory will take place on May 19, allowing Greeks in Australia to catch a glimpse of Olympiakos.
Olympiakos’s Melbourne-born star Avraam Papadopoulos reportedly stated that his teammates are looking forward to playing in Australia.
“We have heard that there are thousands of Olympiakos fans in Australia and are waiting to watch the team play, and we will not let them down,» said the Greek defender.
Nevertheless, Papadopoulos will probably be unable to take part, as he should be a member of the Greece squad preparing for the European Championship that starts in June.
Reports suggest that ticket sale will start as early as on March 28.
