Mike Batiste to rejoin Panathinaikos after a year in Turkey

A familiar face was confirmed to return to Athens on Wednesday as power forward Mike Batiste is set to rejoin Panathinaikos for the next season.

The 36-year-old, 2.03-meter tall Californian power forward/center will be arriving from Fenerbahce Ulker, where he spent last season.

In Istanbul, Batiste averaged 5.4 points and 2.7 rebounds in 23 Euroleague games.

Batiste had been woth Panathinaikos from 2003 to 2012. He won three Euroleague titles in 2007, 2009 and 2011 with the Greens.

He has also won numerous domestic titles with Panathinaikos, gaining widespread popularity among fans of the Athens team.

Batiste was also an All-Euroleague First Team selection for 2010-11 and Second Team selection for 2011-12.
