Three Greek internationals injured in Budapest car crash

Three Greek international soccer players were slightly injured on Monday in a car crash as they travelled by taxi to Budapest airport following Greece’s Euro 2016 qualifying goalless draw against Hungary on Sunday.

Vangelis Moras, Panayiotis Tachtsidis, and Yiannis Fetfatzidis were not seriously injured in the crash in which one person was killed, and were expected to leave hospital later Monday, a Greek federation spokesperson told the Hungarian MTI news agency.

Police said one person died at the scene while several people were injured, three seriously.

All three footballers play in Italy – Moras, 33, and Tachtsidis, 24, for Hellas Verona and Fetfatzidis, 24, for Chievo.
