Olympiakos makes it 100 regular-season home wins in a row

Olympiakos reached a century of consecutive regular season home wins in the Basket League defeating AEK 79-71 on Sunday, but remains behind Panathinaikos that strolled to an easy home win over Trikala on Monday.

The Reds enjoyed big leads in the game at the Peace and Friendship Stadium as AEK appears to be in decline in recent weeks. The eight-point margin in the end appears rather flattering for the visitors in Piraeus.

Panathinaikos remains the only unbeaten team in the league defeating Trikala 77-64 in Athens, with its coach Aleksandar Djordjevic giving playing time to more of his players.

In the weekend’s most thrilling game, Apollon Patras edged out PAOK 69-68 at home for a precious win that moves it out of the drop zone. Arkadikos produced an equally important victory over Lavrio in a high-scoring game that ended 98-90 in Tripoli.

Aris is now third on a 7-2 record after coming from behind to beat visiting Kifissia 81-68 on Saturday.

Elsewhere Kolossos thrashed Korivos Amaliadas 94-73 on Rhodes and Rethymno overcame Kavala 84-74 in Crete.
