Panathinaikos’s new coach meets players
Hans Backe, Panathinaikos’s new coach, held his first meeting with players yesterday. «I believe you are a good team, but I hope we will get better,» Backe told the soccer squad, which came third in this season’s league. The Swede has won several titles in Scandinavian soccer and has worked as assistant coach with the Swedish national team. Backe’s predecessor, Alberto Malesani, was ousted just weeks ago after it became apparent that the club would miss out on a Champions League berth.
